Faction for leavers....
Basically as it says. When someone on the opposing team leaves, you get the same faction as if you killed them. I'm am absolutely sick of people getting down to 5% health and exiting out, or seeing their team is losing and exiting out. Teams shouldn't be screwed that faction cause someone else is a coward. Just my opinion....

O.oPM that made little sense... that would encourage sabotage squads to go on the other side and leave to give their faction points.....

It doesn prevent sabotage groups. They are there to try and make you lose, not to try and make you lose more points.
I like the idea, you dont lose points yourself when you leave the game for a valid reason, or when you error out so it doesnt affect legit people.
And if they want to leave let them do it, just give me the points.
Now lets think of a way to "punish" the people that leave in order to mess theyr group up.

It's not a bad idea at first glance but would be abused by both sides.

Uh sorry I just do RA's and TA's, I dont' really care about Factions bs
Even still the abuse in the Alliance Battles is already there, and if a guy leaves then you only get the faction once rather than getting it numerous times if he stays and just dies constantly. I fail to see how the abuse could be anything worse than what currently goes on.
And what is it 3 Balth faction and 1 Alliance faction per leaver? Whoohooo I just made 36 balth and 12 alliance! The abuse is so worth it! /sarcasm
However in the RA's if someone leaves thats 20 faction you're out, and when this happens over and over and over and over match after match after match after match..... you get the point it adds up fast. And you can't really abuse it in the RA's.

On the topic of arenas and factions, I don't think people shouldn't get faction for people leaving the other team, the leavers should LOSE faction for leaving in the first place. Of course, there would be conditions to this, such as:
-Faction loss only applies during the first minute or so of combat. Most battles only last 1-2 minutes anyways.
-Faction loss would vary depending on the time. You could lose, say, 200 balthazar faction if you left within the first ten seconds, 150 between 10-25 seconds, and so on.
I think this would prevent a lot of people from simply going into RA, seeing one person die, and leave. The Res Sig was made for a reason!
That's my two cents.

I'd hate to fire up a round of RA, walk to the front door within the first 10 seconds and error 007, then eventually log back in to see I've LOST xxx amount of Balthazar faction...

Locking this thread, and all the other "Fix Leavers" threads in Sardelac, for the time being. When the new system is revealed, we'll look at it, look at these threads, and see if they need reopened or not. Until then, let's all be patient and see what we get.
